Yellow Pages scam ads - don't waste your time with this outdated source, we now have the internet – For over 15years, Yellow Pages refuse to remove my advertisement from 20years ago for a business I had at uni, i can only assume most businesses who advertise on this scam platform are not current and therefore fake.

engaged Thryv for a complete package, expecting comprehensive support, including Google AdWords, which I was later informed you could not provide. This has been a significant inconvenience, and I have since found another company to manage this aspect of my business. Furthermore, there have been unacceptable delays in getting my advertisement live. I was promised a one-week turnaround, yet it took over three weeks. Additionally, the placement of my listing was not as agreed upon; I was assured a top spot, yet my business was listed fourth. The content created by your team does not accurately represent my business or align with what I approved. This misrepresentation has impacted my business's reputation and effectiveness in reaching potential clients. I sent an email on 22/11/24 requesting the cancellation of the service, and I have also attempted to reach out to Sally Stephens via text and email, but have received no response. Additionally, your team has deleted our 'Google My Business' profile, which has caused further disruption. This issue is now being resolved by a new company. Given these circumstances, I am requesting the immediate cancellation of the service as of today, 18/12/24. I will not be making any further payments for a service that does not meet my business needs or reflect the agreement we had. As the service provided does not align with what I signed up for, I consider the contract void. I expect a prompt response confirming the cancellation of the service. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Privacy Violation – Put up a free listing and to my horror they published my full name and home address on a web page. Of course I asked them to take it down but they won't. Do NOT trust Yellow Pages with your privacy.

other things, permitted Yellow Pages to use our intellectual property and branding forever and in whatever manner they choose. This is clearly impermissible as far as the law is concerned. Only the directors of a company are authorised to enter into contracts on behalf of an entity; they may also expressly authorise other individuals, however, Yellow Pages makes no effort to check whether the person entering into the contract on behalf of the business has legal authorisation to do so. Their business plan essentially depends on getting businesses like ours to create a profile. What businesses do not realise is that once the profile is created, if the business does not pay them, they make their profile look very shoddy and unprofessional. They display little to no information about the business unless they pay. All of this makes potential customers doubt the legitimacy or the professionalism of the business. By contrast, the business' competitors who may pay for their listing, will have an excellent profile embellished in various ways. Furthermore, they have a very poor review management process. They will permit anyone to leave false, incendiary and defamatory reviews without following ACCC guidelines or the prevailing law. They take no responsibility for the quality, appropriateness or the veracity of the reviews and do not take appropriate steps to address the complaints or concerns that businesses raise against ostensibly false and misleading reviews, even the ones clearly left by competitors or disgruntled contractors. When businesses endeavour to remove their profile from their website, they point to a clause in their terms & conditions which stipulates that once you create a listing with them, they effectively have a license to use your intellectual property and to keep your listing on their website forever, in whatever manner they choose. So, when unsuspecting business owners or their employees fill in a form to create a listing on their profile, may be to try out the platform to see if it works for them, Yellow Pages binds them in an unbreakable contract which forever holds them captive. In fact, the most ridiculous part of their contract is that it permits them to change their terms and conditions however and whenever they choose. So, in effect, any business signing up to their platform is signing up to a perpetual acquiescence to their will to represent their business in whatever manner they choose fit! Besides the fact that such terms are legally unenforceable, they do all of this without even checking who is singing up for the business and whether they are legally authorised to have the business bound in such an onerous and restrictive contract. This is one of the most unethical and corrupt business practices that I have witnessed, and we are currently taking them to Court about this. If your business is also affected by this, please use the information here and take legal action against them.
By far the biggest waste of time and money – Where to start? I heard a few Sensis fails before but thought I'd give one of their SEO packages a go.... What a mistake! The SEO packages remain undeveloped and are being run by a team that are clearly not ready to deal with the amount of sales they are receiving. The product is nonsense. painful months, but the option to customise my package was never an option because of their system errors, my email was never registered. I couldn't even integrate things like Google which I was told would boost my online presence.
The team really let my small business down. They blasted our email accounts with Sensis "test" emails on top of the countless (1000s) amount of junk received from spammers that link themselves to the Sensis websites. Would have been a great disclaimer to disclose information like this as a customer exploring a new product.
It cost our business over $1500 to repair damage that Sensis caused to our business. We submitted a complaint and they said our service was at the top of it's game, even though several requests to adjust the service to maximise performance were ignored.
DON'T USE THEM!!!
December 13th 2019 Update: Class action needed - shut them down
A deceptive, manipulative business with foul practises and zero support. To say the least, it has been a living nightmare to deal with Sensis' Yellow Products. We had an "SEO campaign" where we were promised (like everyone else) every reward, benefit and growth for our small business. We not only had no growth, but our traffic actually went down in the long run of the campaign, google has ranked our site further down due to what appears to be "traffic hack" activity, this is basically a very cheap and nasty way of "click farming" your site to have what appears to be organic traffic to your website. With all the very similar complaints I don't understand why they are still trading? I'll make a mess of them in court.

beautiful TrueLocal, yellow and WhitePage listings – I had the excellent free TrueLocal listing for around 5 years along with my own Website, I then stopped running my Website as that was difficult to find, and easy to find my listing under TrueLocal and then to give them custom as a thanks I run an additional yellow ad, and you could click on website on the yellow page ad and it would upon my… Read more
website on TrueLocal, after a year I decided to cutback and phoned yellow and cancelled my contract, then I relented realising the good value and mistakenly started a white page listing which I may cancel as I meant to reopen my yellow pages listing, I have found Sensis honourable and good value especially when you consider that it includes a TrueLocal listing that comes up in the searches. I'm now with yellow and TrueLocal, excellent !!

Terrible service – Terrible service that provides no value. Also their customer support is terrible. They make it near impossible to cancel accounts. You have to speak to a rep. Kept on charging even after we cancelled. One of the worst services I have ever used online. Avoid at all costs!
Outdated platform and horrendous customer service – Tried multiple times to update my business address. 3 calls and multiple emails and still our address hasn't been updated, instead the lady tried to convince me to use their marketing platform
No sense Sensis – I was over charged for years listing my business before we all just changed to the internet. Now greatly diminished, sensis, you reap what you sew.

Auto Renewing Subscription – Absolutely abysmal service in trying to cancel a subscription - renewed without due authority. Happy to take your money but when it comes to responding by phone they keep you on hold for over an hour. Be wary as the sales tactics they use are devious and are not transparent. Money spent with Yellow Pages is money wasted and the only "benefit" is stress!

are always changing and continuity of service is impossible. You ask for things to be changed and nothing seems to happen. I did a lot of comparison and found the the cost per phone call to the company from the advertising had become too high to make it financially viable. My last Account manager did try to resolve issues however the platform is too hard to fix. The product for us was no longer viable and I tried to cancel this last year but was talked into giving it extra time. I gave it 7 months and the statistics were even worse. I appreciate that individuals within the company try and assist, but the company itself should try and develop products that produce results, they cling to old products that once were effective and no longer are telling clients they can fix the issues when they cannot fix issues. Loyalty to a company means nothing as you can see were were with Sensis Yellow Pages for over 30 years. I hope they can resolve there issues and give better service and advertising solutions in future.

FREE Ad" advertised there. Before my business details appeared on the yellow pages website I had already a call from yellow pages marketing staff offering me plenty of their marketing offers. I said I'm not interested in those offers at the moment, as I would like to check how effectively yellow pages will work for my new business at the local market first. I was surprised when after 1 month I tried to search my business locally (in my suburb) but my business did not pop up at all on the 1-st, 2nd, and last page. I gave a call to them reporting the issue. They said they were going to fix it soon, but they did not (they ignored it). I gave them a call 1 week later. The guy said he is going to fix the issue. He fixed the issue immediately. My business was appearing on yellow pages (locally) for... 1 week and then disappeared again. I gave them a call again, and again the problem was fixed, and like before after a week or 2 my business disappeared from the yellow page listing again. I'm not an expert in that field, but it looks like their system is set to delete (in 7-14 days' time) any free listings if the client did not book a paid ad, or did not take "advantage" of their other marketing (quite expensive offers) SHAME ON YOU! Yellow pages that your business strategy is based on bating customers with your fraudulent! "Free" offer. SHAME!

I was quite confident in making your listing go live again, however as a result of a software issue with our system your Free Listing won’t be live again till about a month from now. You wanted an a explanation as to why the system is not showing your listing. Extremely poor service – After years of putting up with yellowpages (having purchased and paid for our webpage) i decided enough and tried to transfer the domain and webpage away from yellowpages. They only gave me the code to transfer the domain and refused to give me any info to transfer the webpage so now ive a domain name and no webpage - what a waste of money. Sensis is a con. Money better spent elsewhere – It is a con job. After an extremely forceful sell, telling me that Sensis was a must to grow my on-line presence organically. Lots of promises. In setting up my site they listed a competitor. Failed to meet basic standard. Zero response to complaints, until I stopped payment. There is a cultural problem here, don't use. Its a con job.

a secondary notice issued 30 days later stating the amount alleged to be owing which which only then would make the default legal and legitimate. If Sensis believes there is a legitimate amount amount owing, it should firstly contact myself and state what is alleged to be owing and or issue a statement of claim rather than issuing a unlawful, unsubstantiated credit default. I recommend you contact myself regarding these issues asap to prevent further litigation, and remove the incorrectly unlawfully issued credit default judgement against my Company. It seems Sensis has unlawfully affected my credit rating and and its acts to date are bordering defamation and damages, consistent over almost a 2 year period. I had advertised with Sensis for over 25 years and always paid my bills. Some years i have spent upwards of $50,000.00 annually. Check my History and see yourself. 20yrs loyal customer. Couldn't resolve an incorrect listing on sensis mistake – Sensis mistake at my expense. Would not resolve. Now using 25% of budget for much better results. Now deal with one person and get professional advice and immediate accurate action. 75% less advertising cost and at least 100% better exposure.
